The Beenleigh Brass Band has been performing in area for over 100 years. One of the earliest documented appearances is the opening of the “new” concrete bridge at Waterford, the band took part in the march over the old wooden bridge, and back along the new bridge.
1916 saw the official closure of the old timber bridge structure at Waterford, and simultaneously, the opening of the new concrete structure. To mark the occasion, local residents walked across the old timber structure an returned over the new concrete bridge. Pictured to the middle left of the photograph is the Beenleigh Brass Band
